The Asociation Autism Ceuta has launched the ‘bbMiradas’ project, created by Autismo Burgos and the Miradas Foundation in 2007 and supported by the Confederación Autismo España, to monitor development and facilitate the early detection and intervention of autism in babies aged between 4 and 36 months.

According to the local association, “we have been running this programme internally since 2021, including training and adaptation processes”. However, they had not made this public until now because “the project required a specific profile, and Autismo España has now directly recruited staff to carry out the project”.

Autismo Ceuta has therefore already presented ‘bbMiradas’ to organisations such as the Imserso “We have several meetings scheduled with various organisations to present the scheme and ask them to refer children to us. We’ve also posted about it on social media in case any families would like to get involved,” they say.

It is worth noting that the Ceuta association responded to a call for applications from the national association, through which it received the necessary resources to begin work on this programme, which has now been finalised with the recruitment of staff specifically assigned to its implementation.
